The Ab Machine is one of the simplest and most effective machines here at Planet Fitness. If you’re not sure how much weight to set,
start low and slowly increase the weight until you’re at an appropriately challenging intensity. You can also adjust the height of the seat. Find the setting that is comfortable for you. For reference, your abdomen should align with the pivot point of the machine. From there, it’s fairly straightforward: just sit down, grasp the handles, and make sure your elbows are resting on the pads. Engage your core to drive your elbows down, then slowly return to the starting position. Repeat this movement and you should feel the burn pretty quickly. When you’re all set, just return to the starting position and step off the machine. Don’t forget to wipe down the seat after you’ve finished your workout. Thanks for watching the video.
